Yesterday was a doozy. Started out with 3 straight wins (after 2 wins to close out Friday). Then we got a little greedy and went after the evening slate and just went cold. 3-3 on the day but we only lost .1U which brings our total through 4 days to 13-11 and a positive .5U - hey at least were up. Some conference semi-final and final action today to hopefully stay in the green and build up the bankroll.
Wisconsin (+5.5) vs. Purdue 1:00pm EST 1U
Wisconsin has looked really good this tournament and Purdue looked a little shaky yesterday against MSU. On top of that, Wisconsin has played Purdue really well this year. They have savvy, veteran players who know how to compete and make a game of it and I don't think their scared of Eddy one bit. Don't get me wrong, hell get his, but I think the Badgers can control the Purdue guards and keep this game close.
UAB vs. USF (-126) 3:00pm EST 2U
USF took care of business handily yesterday while UAB was in a nail biter until the last few minutes that may have been draining. I think that USF is simply the better team and shouldn't have an issue moving onto the championship game. Lock this one in for 2U and enjoy the afternoon.
Iowa State vs. Houston (-5) 6:00pm EST 1U
The game of the day in college basketball this one is going to be exciting. This is a lot of points to give up against a good Iowa State team, but I think Houston has a lot to play for. First of all, they want to show everyone that the Big 12 is there's and complete the conference sweep. Additionally, a win and they likely lock up the #1 overall seed come Sunday night. I think that they win and make a statement doing it.
Oregon vs. Colorado (-2.5) 9:00pm EST 1U
Oregon is fighting for a tournament birth so they won't go away easily. The reason I like Colorado is that they are simply the better team. Kenpom has them up 6 from an efficiency margin standpoint and I think that they can run away with this one and put a potential bid steeler to bed.
